Edwin arranged for 3 speakers: Sami Hussein, Oliver Manyemba and Ishmael Khaldi to give their perspectives of how The Jews and Israel are viewed by the wider community and our responsibility in reaching out to the outside world.
Edwin also introduced a young man, Karim who has made an intellectual choice to convert to Judaism.
Sami described how early misconception pushed him to join a Palestinian terrorist organisation and what made him realise his error of judgement, while Oliver recounted his early exposure to Jews in his native Zimbabwe and his recent appointment to be the regional coordinator for the Christian friends of Israel CFI for the greater London region.
Ishmael Khaldi, the first Bedouin diplomat representing the State of Israel was welcomed at his first public appearance in the UK since commencing his new posting in London.

After the talk Oliver left us with the following messages:
It was my pleasure to participate in yesterday's seminar at your Synagogue. Thank you so much for inviting me. As I said last night, you can count on me to participate in any other similar function in future. As long as there in no clash with other commitments, I will come.
Please assure everybody that the covenant that G-d made with Abraham in Genesis 17v1-10 & v19 is still very valid and will be valid forever. Encourage them to read Isaiah 41v8-20 and pray it back to the Almighty G-d himself. Tell everybody that Oliver has emphatically said the G-d who delivered Israel at the Red sea, the G-d who answered King Hezekiah's prayer and send one angel to destroy 185 0000 Assyrians and the God who delivered King Jehoshaphat and all Israel according to 2 Chronicles 20 is the same G-d that both the Jews and Christians worship today. He has not changed and will not change. Therefore He will answer our prayers as well according to Jeremiah 33v3.
If any member of your Synagogue has any information on positive developments in Israel and among the Jews anywhere that they would like Christians to know, they should feel free to send the information to me by clicking here. We will publicise the information through our CFI-UK network.

Sami Hussein
Biography
I am a Muslim Shiite who lived in an Arab/Muslim country till my early twenties. Despite the fact that everyone I knew had friendship of business relationship with Jews, who lived in my country, the influence of the indoctrination and brainwashing had its immense influence on me which happened and still happening to the youth the Arab & Muslim world. What helped the matter was the mass exodus of the Jews from the Arab countries.
Being a young man, in the eighties I was very influenced and taken by all what was happening around me and mainly in respect of the Palestinian Issue which was and still is the dominating subject in all aspects of life in the Arab world; to the extend that I decide to volunteer as a Fydaee. I passed my training and was based in Syria for few months.
Those few months changed my life forever.
My aim that the youth, who are our future and they hold the key to Peace in the Middle East, to understand and be informed of what is happening in the Muslim world in general and in the Arab world in particular. What are the motivations in the decision makings and what are the roots of these motivations.
It is crucial that the Jewish youth be proud of the achievements of their ancestors and therefore proud of Israel, and on the other hand for the Arab/ Muslim youth to understand that the media is not informing them with the reality and in fact it is poising their minds to control them.
My idea is to talk to my audience and not give a lecture. I am open to criticism and would encourage a debate.
Mr Khaldi made a guest appearance which was the first in the UK since assuming his new duties at the Israeli embassy in London, and that he will hopefully be returning to WSP to inspire us with his life story.
