The Squads at Woodside Park are informal educational groups for boys which meet every other shabbat morning from 9.45am to 10.30am, before the Youth or Childrens services. By educating the boys in leyning, leading the Shabbat services and other areas, the groups aim to make them participants rather than observers in shul, and hence to retain them after their barmitzvahs.
SUGAR stands for 'See U Girls At Rosh Chodesh' and takes place once a month for girls in years 6-11. Every month the girls meet and discuss a whole variety of different topics that are relevant to young women in the modern world today.
