Welcome to Woodside Park Shul

Woodside Park Synagogue is a jewel in the crown of the United Synagogue. Located slightly off the beaten track our community is noted for its warmth and friendliness. It is the 12th largest community in the United Synagogue family of shuls with around 1,200 members, comprising 870 families and more than 430 children under the age of 18 ... and continues to grow strongly!! As such it is big enough to be largely self sufficient and enjoy a wide range of facilities yet small enough to engender a feeling of belonging and community.

Watch below a video filmed at the Summer BBQ to see why Young Families are joining Woodside Park synagogue.

Situated on the edge of the Green Belt and close to good transport links, Jewish shops and schools, Woodside Park remains one of the most sought after locations for young Jewish families in North London.

The community enjoys the use of a fine shul and excellent community facilities which are well used, for example, by youth groups, guiders, cheder classes, adult education, JACS and other social groups. It also has an outstanding Nursery School, Yaveneh. A strong pool of around 300 members regularly attends shul for Shabbat services, with many more participating regularly in a wide variety of social, educational and other services.

In November 2008 the shul was fortunate enough to recruit Rabbi Hackenbroch and his wife Gila. This youthful but experienced team have immersed themselves in the community and energised the shul taking it to new heights, introducing our members to innovative and exciting ways of embracing Jewish life and Torah values. Our Rabbi is not only an accomplished educator but can be seen playing football with our youth, hosting barbeques at his home or leading the Lads and Lasses club on a Sunday morning. What other Rabbi and Rebbetsen throw open their home to the whole community on Purim?

Have a good look at our website, play the videos showing different aspects of communal life - but above all come and experience Woodside Park Synagogue for yourself. If you are planning to visit or considering moving into the area then please give us a call and let us show you around.
